MACKAY-Suddenly on December 3, 2006, at McAdam,
NB, Robert Leslie MacKay, of McAdam, NB, died as a result of an accident
at the age of 51. Beloved father of daughter, Bonnie (Stuart), sons,
Rob (Amy) and Brad.
Also survived by his mother, Helen MacKay, brothers, Donnie (Joyce), George
(Pam), David and Willard (Rose), sisters, Ruth (Hal), Marjorie (Lorne), Emeline
(Randall), Mary Ellen (Keith) and Judy (Dale), several half brothers and sisters,
many nephews and nieces, including a close nephew, Andy (Diane), aunts, uncles
and many friends and acquaintances.
Robert is predeceased by his father, David MacKay and brother, Gerald.
Funeral Service will be held at the Voice of Pentecost Church, McAdam, NB on
Thursday December 7, 2006 at 2 PM.
Interment at Rockland Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held at the Voice of Pentecost Church on Wednesday December
6, 2006 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM.

It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of our father and husband Eugene Arthur McBean on Monday,
March 10th , 2008 at the Veteran’s Health Unit, Fredericton.
Born in McAdam, NB on March 28th , 1925, he was the son of the late Pearl (Brownell)
and Arthur McBean. He was a long time resident of McAdam.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth (Le Tourneau); one son,
Gregory “Greg” of
Hampton; his daughters, Barb Simmonds, Rita Nason (Gary Jochelman) and
Nancy Collett (Brian) all of Fredericton; his brother Harry (Eva) of Fredericton;
10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Eugene is also survived by
a special aunt, Bina and her son Gordie of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. Eugene
was predeceased by his brother Trueman.
Eugene was a veteran of World War II serving in the Air Force. After leaving
the Air Force he worked as a boilermaker for the CPR, followed by employment
at the Irving Oil Refinery in Saint John. Until retirement, Eugene was plant
manager of the Industrial Cab Co. in McAdam.
Dad was in his element being a Grandfather and Great Grandfather, relishing the
special moments and always a giggle. Eugene had many interests, softball, hockey,
bowling, darts and snow mobiling. Eugene was an avid hunter and fisherman and
spent many springs and summers tending his vegetable and flower gardens while
feeding the black flies.
Eugene spent many years as an active Legion member (Branch #7), including
terms as president. In his retirement, he enjoyed greatly the socializing
with his buddies at the Owl’s Club.
Family will receive friends at St. Paul’s United Church in McAdam on Thursday,
March 13th from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday,
March 14th at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s United Church with Rev. Ellen
Beairsto officiating.
Interment will take place in Rockland Cemetery at a later date. For those
who wish, donations may be made to the NB Lung Association, the NB Heart
and Stroke Foundation or the charity of ones choice. Bishop’s Funeral

Anna Mae 'Annie' (James) McDougall of McAdam entered into rest on November
25, 2005. She had just celebrated her 84th. birthday. Annie was a member
of the Voice of Pentecost Church of McAdam. Born on November 16, 1921
in Lawrence Station, NB, she was raised in McAdam where she married
Joseph McDougall in 1941.
Annie had two sons, Murray and Eric. Both are ministers and live in the US.
She raised her family in Hamilton, Ontario and returned to NB in 1975. She enjoyed
a full and wonderful life. Being with her family and friends was her greatest
enjoyment. She painted, knitted, crocheted and laughed a lot.
Annie loved to travel, from NB to BC and through most of the States. She also
traveled with family and friends to Israel, Russia and Jamaica.
She leaves behind two sons and daughters-in-law, Murray and June of Bossier City,
Louisiana and Eric and Anna Sikeston, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kerri, Trevor
and Kim and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Leo
James (Hope) of Hamilton, Ontario; one sister, Marjorie Coughlin of Summerside,
PE; several nieces and nephews and many great friends.
Annie was predeceased by her husband, Joe, her parents, Lee and Almyra James,
two sisters, Irma James and Virginia Gillespie and two brothers, Frank James
and Ronnie James.
Annie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her many friends.
Resting at the Voice of Pentecost Church, 82 Harvey Road, McAdam, NB with visiting
hours on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday,
November 29, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. from the church with Rev.
Terry Kennedy officiating assisted by Rev. Robert Foster. Interment will be in
Rockland Cemetery.

Jim Phillips and Larry Swan.

Vernon Allen McDougall of Scotch Lake passed away Friday June 7, 2002
at his home. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Martin (Richard) of
Tracy; son Daniel McDougall (Tina) of Fredericton; former wife Sharon
McDougall of Tracy; three sisters, Shirley Greengo (Roger) of Pepperell,
Massachusetts, Elaine MacDonald (Gene) of Hermon, Maine and Judy Yerxa
(Brian) of Springfield; one granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Josephine McDougall Baker, step
father Rutherford Baker, father Eldon McDougall and brother Claude McDougall.

The death of Nancy Jean (Nickerson) McLaggan of Fredericton, NB, wife
of Sheridan McLaggan occurred on Saturday, February 10th, 2007 at the
Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Weymouth North, NS, she
was the daughter of Hilda (Hayes) Nickerson and the late Victor Nickerson.
Nancy was a member of the Pythian Sisters Celestial Temple #19 where
she held various offices in the past. She was also Past Grand Chief of
The Grand Temple. Nancy is survived by her husband Sheridan; three sons,
Roy McLaggan (Rose), Carl McLaggan, and Corey McLaggan (Trudy) all of
Fredericton, NB; one daughter, April Hawkins (Christopher) of Fredericton,
NB; eight grandchildren, Katelyn MacDonald, Carly Hawkins, Kyle McLaggan,
Amanda McQuade, Taylor Hawkins, Alicia McLaggan, Katie Johnson-McLaggan
and Michael Hawkins; two brothers, Earl Nickerson of Saint John and Herbert
Nickerson of Nova Scotia; two sisters, Hazel Gass (Paul) of McAdam and
Leota Weeks (John) of Brighton, Ontario; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, one brother and one sister. There
will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will take place
at the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 13th at 2:00
PM. Rev. H. G. Mackenzie and Rev. Paul Donison will officiate. Interment
will take place at a later date in the Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB.

Pearl Mona Mersereau of McAdam, NB, widow of Donald Mersereau passed
away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on May 15, 2003. Born in McAdam,
on March 15, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Catherine and Alfred
Miller. She is survived by two sons, Brian (Andrea) of Ottawa and Hal
(Janet) of St. George; six grandchildren, Amy (Luke) Cook of St. George,
Ben Mersereau of Fredericton, Rebecca Mersereau of St. George, Malcolm
Mersereau of Toronto, Monica Mersereau of Ottawa and Vanessa Mersereau

Jeremy D. Messer of Harvey, passed away October 1, 2003 at his home.
Born at Fredericton on January 12, 1973, he was the son of Bruce and
Beatrice (Rosborough) Messer. Jeremy loved fishing with his son Tyler
and had a special bond with all children he met. His love of animals
led to volunteer work with the SPCA. He is survived by a son, Tyler George
Messer; his parents of Harvey; a sister, Charity Hinchey (Billy), Harvey;
a niece, Emma Hinchey; his maternal grandmother, Lena Rosborough, Harvey;
his paternal grandmother, Kathleen Messer, McAdam; several aunts, uncles
and cousins. Jeremy was predeceased by his grandfathers, George Rosborough
and Eugene Messer. Although there will be no visitation, friends are

Anna P. Moffatt of McAdam passed away July 1, 2007 at Wauklehegan Manor
in McAdam. She was born at Harvey Station in 1910, a daughter of the
late Andrew and Ella (Miller) Herbert.
Anna is survived by a sister, Muriel Price, Rothesay; niece, Lois
Frederikse, Guelph, Ontario and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest
Walter Moffatt.
Visiting hours will be held at St. Paul’s
United Church, 155 Saunders Road, McAdam on Wednesday, July 4, 2007
from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at 3 p.m. Rev. Ellen Beairsto
will officiate at the service. Interment will take place in Rockland

in McAdam, NB on December 30th 2007. She was predeceased by her husband

The passing of Darrel Arward Moorcraft, husband of Ida (Yeo) Moorcraft,
of Toronto, ON, occurred on October 4, 2006 at the East General Hospital,
Toronto, ON. Born on December 24, 1921, in Hartfield, NB, he was a son
of the late William and Reta (Bradley) Moorcraft. Darrel was a Veteran
of the 2nd World War and the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, camping
and the outdoors. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters,
Linda (Lawrence) Drew of Fredericton, Reta (Aldo) Pannozzo of Brampton,
ON; seven grandsons; two granddaughters; one brother, Lee (Olive) Moorcroft
of Toronto, ON; one sister, Nellie McHatten of Temperance Vale, NB; several
nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by
one son, Darrell Arward Moorcraft Jr.; grandson, Michael Moorcraft; two
brothers, Roy and Erbon; three sisters, Lena, Irma and an infant sister.

The death of Holly John Moore of McAdam, husband of Louise (Keef) Moore,
occurred on Thursday, February 8, 2007. Born in McAdam, NB, on October
28th, 1931, he was the son of Ellis Hazen and Margaret Delores (Gardiner)
Moore. Holly worked for C.P. Express for 41 years and has been retired
for 19 years. He was a member of the Rockland Drive United Baptist Church,
was very active in the community and enjoyed woodworking and traveling.
Besides his wife of 50 years, Holly is survived by one son, Daniel Moore
(Wilma) of Fredericton; one foster-son, David Green (Diana) of Brantford,
On.; three daughters, Trina Campbell of Sioux Lookout, On., Crystal MacKay
of Calgary, AB and Melanie Kesterson (Michael) of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren,
Lacey Stewart of British Columbia, Heather and Gregory Moore of Fredericton;

by one son, Eric; two brothers, Oddville and Leroy Moore; and one half-brother,
James Gardiner. Visitation will take place at Rockland Drive United Baptist
Church, McAdam, NB on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 2 to 4 pm and 7
to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Church on Monday, February
12, 2007 at 2 pm with Pastor Scott Kohler officiating. In lieu of flowers,
remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated
